Life has been busy. Life has changed. But there's no way I could let the blog go without sharing the joy of Payton's 5th birthday. FIVE?! My baby. My first born. She has turned into such a beautiful, caring, loving, sympathetic, sometimes aggravating, and very bright young lady. The "baby" has left her precious cheeks. Her vocabulary most of the time resembles an adult's. She is learning coordination. Payton and Griffin think it's hilarious to spell "B-U-T-T," because that's not a word we say...they are very funny kids. Payton loves to pretend and play "house." She loves to lead. She loves to boss her little brother around. She loves to love. She is helpful, and kind. Brave, and ambitious. I love my little girl with all my heart. Here are some pictures and statistics about Payton Delaney, at the age of 5...
-52 pounds! (95%)
-47 inches!!! (off the charts, and, by the way, with shoes on, she is tall enough to ride "Thunder Road rollercoaster at Carowinds...and she wants to SO badly. Dad, remember that time I HAD to ride the "Loch Ness" coaster at Busch Gardens??? I, too, expect lots and lots of tears...)
-Wears a size 6X in clothes
-Wears a size 1 shoe (I think adult sizes start at a 4?)
-Wants to be a pediatrician when she grows up
We had a couple of celebrations for Payton's birthday. Thank you to all of you for helping us celebrate this milestone birthday. She LOVES that she's five, and is so excited to start losing her teeth! (I told her around the age of 5 is when that should happen, so she's holding me to it!)

She was SUPER stoked to receive a new wakeboard from Mom, Dad, Granby, and Grumps! |

Birthday dinner and cupcakes with Kymber and Karleigh! (and a purple horse) |
|
Her party was at Sky Zone...there was a good time had by all! |
|
She wants to be a cheerleader...like her Granby was. This momma doesn't know anything about that! |
|
...and it was just as delicious as it was cute! |
