Payton's First Christmas...and it was WHITE :)
What a wonderful sight to wake up to....beautiful snow! We had a white Christmas last year, BUT it was from a horrific ice storm, which resulted in us losing power. A little chilly for my liking! So, this has been the best Christmas thus far, and Payton LOVED opening her presents, and playing in the snow. She received some fun gifts, and loves her toys which assist her in walking. Now she's really such a big girl! She got her first baby doll which makes drinking noises and coos. We've been letting her take naps with her, and she loves cuddling with her. I don't think she really ever got too overwhelmed with everything, but now she certainly has a plethora of toys with which to play! Also, Payton loved to hang on the rails in the upstairs...she would look down, dance, jump, and laugh while hanging onto them. Very cute :)
The snow began around 8am and has continued all day. It is accumulating, but it's not a real heavy snow. Just pretty and steady. Perfect Christmas weather. We have the Long side of the family coming up to Sugar Mountain tomorrow for a Christmas lunch, then we'll be heading back down the mountain to gear up for another short work week....we head back up on Thursday for New Years! "If" the weathermen are correct in their predictions, we may be battling snow all the way home tomorrow, or more likely, we could very well be snowed in!
Merry Christmas from the Kugler Family to you, and yours....we hope everyone had as perfect of a day as we did!

It's Almost Christmas!
It's Payton's first Christmas week! We've been up on Sugar Mountain since the Wednesday evening before Christmas. We arrived to about 10 inches of snow on the ground...Thursday was incredibly cold with wind chills around 4 degrees. We took Payton out briefly, but it was really too cold. Friday, however, was incredible. Blue skies, much warmer, and Payton got to play in the snow. She LOVED it. I also took her snowboarding. Exactly one year ago Christmas Eve, I "rode" down the same hill I was on this year. I was 26 weeks pregnant. This year, Payton was strapped to my chest, and we rode down the hill. I think she liked it! Payton has been given a couple of presents already, and is getting pretty good at opening them. She crawled up under the tree, picked a present out, which happened to be for her, and took a bite out of the paper. She's also tried to open a couple more. We went out to dinner the past couple nights and Payton was the star of the show. She really is full of herself when we're out like that. She is hillarious, laughing, throwing her head back, talking, yelling, beating and biting the table...she's a trip! We're looking forward to tomorrow....Merry Christmas Eve to all, and to all a good night!
