Happy Birthday(s) and a Baby Shower!!

Stonie Kennington...a dear friend of mine since junior high school....is pregnant with a sweet, sweet little girl, Juliet.  Her expected arrival is November 14th.  Chasity Watson and I gave Stonie a baby shower.  All the ladies had a wonderful time, and baby Juliet received MANY wonderful and thoughtful gifts.  Now, we just can't wait for her to come!!!

In addition to the baby shower, it's been a busy week full of October birthdays, with more to come!  Brian's 33rd birthday was on October 13th.  The kids, and Brian, started out the day with a little soccer, and birthday cake.  Later that evening, we celebrated with friends at the Waldhorn Restaurant's Oktoberfest (again).  As usual, everyone had a great time!  Griffin has been a little fussy lately....we keep thinking, due to all the drool and him putting everything in his mouth, that he's working on his one year molars.  It's been a while since any new teeth have popped in.  But in between stuffing rocks in his mouth (yes, he was sharpening his teeth) he was cutting loose on the dance floor with Payton, Morgan, and Jacob.  Many of our friends came to celebrate with Brian on that beautiful fall evening, and Brian had a great day!
Dribbling in for the goal!
SCORE!
Yes.  That IS a spatula.

He LOVES to throw balls (and sticks and rocks, and the list goes on...)

Such a stud!
Happy birthday, Daddy!  (this was part of the baby shower cake...he also had a red velvet birthday cake!)
The boys...Jace, with his silly chicken hat :)

Payton kissing (and "holding") baby Roman...Diana and Tobias' baby boy.  He's almost exactly one year younger than Griffin

Morgan and Payton literally sweeping the dance floor!  Notice how happy Griffin is to have sneaked Payton's blankie!

"Late night" dancing with Jacob...we didn't leave until 9:30pm!

Also, on October 13th, we celebrated Camryn's first birthday.  Everyone had a great time and ate plenty of cake and ice cream :)  Her birthday is October 14th.
Happy ONE birthday Miss Camryn!!

Silly Girls!

What a cute couple!!

Payton couldn't wait for her cupcake!

The kids are becoming more and more fun each day.  Payton's personality and things that come out of her mouth are hilarious.  She "talks" on the phone to everyone, and makes sure to ask me to "be quiet." Griffin is trying to talk more and more and will repeat (or try to repeat) many words.  Still copying everything that sissy does, he is learning so much.  Both kids love their school, and their teachers love them!

And lastly, if you don't know, I'm training for another half marathon.  The Thunder Road Half, in Charlotte, on November 17th.  Payton has really gotten into this running thing, too!  She always wants a piece of gum (I run with gum) and wants to go for a run with me on the weekends.  On Saturday, Payton, Emma, and I went on a half mile jog, and Payton did great!  Sunday I ran 14 miles, my longest run ever.  When I got home, Payton wanted to go for a run.  Needless to say, my legs were jello.  No more running for me, but Payton decided to "suit up" (in her jammies) and go for a jog.  I am signing her up for a one mile "Fun Run" on Thanksgiving.  The Turkey Trot.  I think she'll really enjoy it.  Griffin will run the "Tot Trot," which Payton ran last year.  It's just 26.2 yards, but the little ones love it.
