Teething?

She just can't keep her fingers out of that mouth! We've said she's teething for about a month now, and still no signs of the pearly whites...I HAD to throw in the smiley pictures also. She's such a cutie patootie :)

Sitting Up Already?

Here we are, one week away from Payton's "four month birthday." She's getting bigger and stronger every day. There really is something to the "tummy time" and exercises we do with her daily, because I've never been around a baby sitting up before 5 months old. And although she isn't sitting up for long by herself, it is still pretty amazing! She is eating about 6 ounces every feeding (about 6 bottles daily) and sleeping 11-12 hours at night. We don't see any need to put her on solid (baby) foods yet, because she's sleeping so well, and nutritionally, there is no need. She knows her name now, (I think), and is really into the world around her. She's our little sponge, soaking up and learning so much. Time to start watching what we say :O

We're Talking Football Here!

So, in my time alone with Payton, we've been discussing football a little. Both college and NFL. So, the popular question is, of which team(s) will she be a fan? With Brian and my luck, she probably won't care for football at all, but at least I hope to sway her while she's still young and impressionable. I tried some outfits on her today. We should let you guys be the judge of what looks the best on her. I, personally, feel blue is her best color (not being at ALL biased!) We've been working on "touchdown" and "Go Tarheels" and "Go Patriots." For daddy's sake, I reluctantly put her in a Virginia Tech jersey and UNCC outfit, but I'm not thinking burgundy or green are her colors. You be the judge!

And she's 16 Weeks!!

Okay, so officially on August 7th, when Payton is 4 months old, I'm going to stop counting her age by weeks. One, I can't count that high, and two, at some point I'll have to say her age in years, and I'm dreading that!! How can she already be almost 4 months old?? I've already had flash-forwards of her teenage years, as she lies on her belly, weight on her elbows, as she lifts her head up to watch the TV. Not that we're letting her lounge around in front of the TV, but when it's on, it sure grabs her attention! She's babbling like crazy...a sign of what's to come? Hmmmm. She tries her best to sit up on her own (if her legs are spread out, and hands in the middle of them, she can prop herself up for a few seconds). She's "army crawling" around, and has red spots on her knees to prove it. She has a little blankie in her crib, which she now sleeps with....she grabs it and shoves it into her face, I guess to block out any light? She's just growing up so fast, and although we're very proud of her, it's sad that our little baby is forever gone.....

We met up with a very old friend of mine from high school last night, Katie, aka, Kathy, for dinner. She got to meet Cheryl, Raegan, Payton, and Brian (she knew Jeremy already). She is pregnant and due around my birthday! She loved meeting everyone, and the girls helped "prep" her for what's to come. Again, our girls are so easy and well-behaved, and even though we had them out past their bedtimes, they were perfect! I also included a picture of Payton in her christening gown with Brian and me at home. It was blazing hot outside, but I wanted a picture of our family with P in her gown.

Brian is riding in the 24 hours of Booty this weekend, a bike riding fund raiser for cancer research. I'll try to get some pictures posted next week of the event.

Mondays Suck....

....that is, unless you are Brian, who gets to stay home with Sweet P this week :) Today was my first day back in the office. I was pretty busy, so the day moved right along, and hey, at least it wasn't rainy! Brian and Payton had a great day, when she was awake. I'm not sure if the all-day boat ride yesterday wore her out, or if she's going through another major growing spurt, but either way, this baby loves her sleep. She slept from 9:15pm last night until 7:30am this morning, took an hour nap, then went down from 11:45am to 3:15pm. Then another nap around dinner time. She's a doll, and I miss being home with her, but it's good for me to learn how to spend time away from her...good for us both, or at least that's what I keep telling myself!

These pics of Raegan and Payton are from Saturday evening, and the ones of Payton were from tonight. I felt like I haven't been taking enough pics recently, lol! So, she was my little model tonight. Hopefully, soon, I'll have some pics posted of the girls on the LOOONG boat ride we took yesterday.
