First Day of the School Year 2013-2014

School is back in session!  Both kids are at Sardis Presbyterian, again this year.  Payton is in the 4 day "3's," with Ms. "M" (Missy) and Ms. Paige, and Griffin is in 3 day "2's," with Ms. Sandra and Ms. Leslie (Payton's teachers last year).  Since both kids attended camp at Sardis, all throughout the summer, the transition back was easy, and they were excited!  On the first day, Granby and I had a "meet and greet" with the teachers, parents, and all the kid's new friends.  It was a drop-in, from 10-11:30.  We saw some familiar faces, and some new ones.  I think both the kids will have an enriching year, and I can't wait to see what they learn!  They are getting SO big, and smart, and it's bittersweet for this momma!

Before School....

Seriously, the boy goes nowhere without a car in his hand!

Here's the "Drop-In" at their school...

Coloring, with Ms. Leslie

Gluing, with Ms. M

Payton and her school boyfriend, Fynn...reunited after missing each other all summer

G fitting in with all the older kids

Griffin and Payton's friend, Cate...

Payton and Cate, who was in her class last year

Another exciting event this week...Griffin is in a big boy bed at Granby and Grump's house!  He's excited to tell everyone about it.

Payton wanted to sleep in with him...
He did it! Success! He slept in his bed and LOVED it!  Looks like we'll need to get a toddler bed for his room soon.  I just haven't wanted to "let go" of my last baby yet...He's getting so big.  Here's to a great school year, everyone!
