Finally, Winter Comes to the QC!

The weather forecasters............wait for it.............GOT IT RIGHT!  Yep.  Milk and bread bought.  Check!  Wine and beer in hand.  Check!  A visit to our good friends, the Kenningtons.  Check!  And...It SNOWED!  Hard.  Biggest flakes I've ever seen.  The sun had been out and we were totally unprepared.  We didn't even have jackets for the kids.  But, it was snowing, so who am I to stand in the way of kids being kids? And we were ALL kids that afternoon. "SNOW" much fun!
Payton and Carter catching snowflakes...they were SO excited!

Griffin kept saying "No...No!!"  (His version of "snow")

Within 20-30 minutes, everything was COVERED in snow!

We were super exited too...CHEERS!  (Best raspberry martini ever..thanks Stonie!)

Look at the size of those flakes.  We were getting what's called "thunder-snow!"

Stonie dug up an old snowsuit and gloves for Payton.  The kids were soaked, but not one complaint!

All while sweet, little Juliet was inside, warm and cozy!

Griffin was chasing Chris, trying to slide on the snow.

Fun day!  I'd be okay with winter sticking around a little longer, as long as there is more snow!!  What a MUCH better weekend than the last, when I was sick.  I was able to get a much needed 12 mile run in on Sunday morning.  It was COOOOOLLLDDDD and the snow was falling off the trees onto my head.  I loved every chilly minute of it!
