Ugh, Is it Spring yet?

I'm done.  DONE with germs.  Colds.  Stomach virus.  Flu.  Our family has had it ALL.  Payton had the norovirus last week only to pass it along to Griffin. I stayed at home Monday and Tuesday of last week with the kids, trying to keep them as separated as possible.  Tuesday, Payton was feeling much better, and it was gorgeous outside (75 degrees), so we were able to get a little fresh air that afternoon.

And during ballet on Wednesday, Griffin was totally flirting with an "older woman."  She is almost 2, and he was flirting in order to get some of her goldfish.  His charm worked...SO CUTE!

Friday night, around midnight, we heard Griffin cry out.  He had puked everywhere...Brian and I had to change little man's clothes, bedding, and diaper.  Poor, poor little guy.  He went right back to sleep (thankfully)...until 5am, when it happened again.  Needless to say, Brian and didn't get much sleep over the weekend.  Brian ended up getting something (a mix of the stomach stuff and possibly the good ole flu, and yes, we've all been vaccinated.  Hmph).  I quarantined the boys to our room, and Payton and I had a fun Saturday, just us girls...
In between the puking and coughing, Nana and Granddude came to stay with the kids on Thursday.  The previous weekend was Nana's birthday, and so the kids were quite excited to celebrate (ie-eat cake!) with them!  We went to dinner, then came home and ate the lemon birthday cake that Payton helped Daddy make.

In between eating bites of cake, Griffin was doing his nebulizer, breathing treatment.  It seems that each time he gets a cold, he wheezes when breathing...so we give him this albuterol, and he breathes better.  Poor little guy.

Here he is doing his "happy dance," or something close to it...

On Friday evening, Payton and I had a Girls' Night Out with Auntie Cheryl and Raegan...we took the girls to the CIRCUS!!  They were SO excited, and loved every minute of it.  The overpriced food and light toys were completely worth it, just to see the smiles on their faces!

Payton had a make up ballet class on Saturday, since she missed last week (we went to the mountains).  She would NOT go in the classroom-different teachers, new kids.  She was adamant that she was not going to join in, so after watching a bit, and me doing my best to persuade her, we left and went shopping instead.  Errands were run, and we had lunch out, together.  It was a nice morning...away from the germy house.  When we returned, I (again) Lysoled, and Cloroxed every surface that could have been touched.  We seriously have a sanitized house now....our eviction notice to all GERMS.  Good riddance.  We had to miss little Knox's first birthday party, just to be sure not to infect anyone else.  We hope you had a great party, Knox!!  We missed you!

In order to escape the germs, and to get to have a little fun, Saturday night I went out to see my friend's band play.  They are called "Edgeoftown" and Adrianne is their singer.  I had a GREAT time!

And last but not least, thanks to the Collins for having everyone over for Super Bowl, as I didn't think our house was a good option!  Brian is still not feeling well, and we didn't want to risk infecting anyone else. Congrats to all the Ravens fans (Uncle Ken and Aunt Irene, Karen and Julie)...at least my Pats got beaten by someone who was deserving of the Super Bowl victory! (and I loved all the excitement & conspiracy theories around the power failure!)

Hurry up, SPRING!! Oh, but I just remembered that brings me allergies, sinus infections, and nasty yellow pollen EVERYWHERE.  I just can't win for losing.  Okay, come on SUMMER :)
