Griffin's 18, well, 19 month check up

Griffin, son, you are amazing!  At 19 months, here's what you are up to:

-You weigh 30 pounds, and are 34 1/2 inches (both 90%), and your big noggin' is also measuring 90%
-You had THREE shots at this doctor appointment.  I wanted to cry for you.  You didn't cry until the third shot, and that was for about 2 seconds, until I got a lollipop in your mouth!
-You wear a 6-6 1/2 size shoe, and can wear 18mo-2T clothes.
-You have 6 teeth on the top (including 2 molars) and 6, almost, on the bottom (your left molar is working on getting through).  Still a ways to go until you have a full set of chompers!
-You go to bed around 7-7:30pm (thank you Daylight Savings!) to 7-8am, and nap for about 1 1/2 hours.
-You love to throw balls.  Kick balls.  Hit and shoot balls.  I think you're definitely going to be a ball player, just not sure what type yet.  You throw with both your left and right hands.
-You are a cuddler.  You LOVE to back into Mommy or Daddy's lap with a book.  You love to read books.  With us.  On your own, and with Sissy.
-You are now getting into the "running away" phase.  You think it's awfully funny to take off, and run away from Mommy and Daddy when we call you.  And you're getting fast!
-You are talking like crazy, and repeating EVERYTHING!  (Mommy and Daddy, watch what you say!)You also copy your sister, the good and the bad.
-You can recognize, and say, the colors yellow, blue, red, and orange.  Green is iffy.
-Although you can't say or enunciate each word, you can count to 10 and say most of your ABC's.  You definitely take after your uncle!
-You can shake your booty like no other!  You love to sing and dance.
-You are getting into pretending, and love to share pretend snacks with everyone.
-You cuddle with Mommy before bed every night.  It's Mommy's favorite time of day. We brush your teeth, read a book, then you lie your head on my shoulder when we say your prayers, and you always finish up with an "Amen!"  You love having your back scratched, as does your sister!
-You are a pretty good eater, but still pretty picky.
-You LOVE your bathtime, and get mad when Mommy makes you get out.
-And, there's your temper.  You have a quick fuse, bad temper tantrums, but you also get over it quickly.
-You've had only one haircut, ever, and Mommy is now debating on whether to cut your cute curls, or leave them for the summer.
-You give THE best kisses!
Playing on Mommy's snowboard

You love your Emma Bear!  (Who will be 10 in June!)
Your first baseball glove
Fun at Mommy's office...on some Fridays, you come to the office for the morning, and do AWESOME!  Here, Mark is playing with you.

Your first piece of chewing gum.  Both Sissy and I had a piece, so you asked for your own.  I gave you a little piece, and told you to "chew, chew, chew."  I kept checking in on you, and you kept it for about 5 minutes before you swallowed it.  Not bad!
Thinking of keeping these curls for the summer, or until you get called a girl...or until I can't stand it!  You've only had one haircut, ever!

Blonde little curls!!
Your Mommy and Daddy love you SO much, and we are proud of the little man you are becoming.  Keep making us proud, son!
