Okay, good news!
Leigh got checked again and Dr. Taylor says that he can feel that there's a head down in the pelvis pushing down now which is all he hoped to accomplish today. This means that we'll continue the Oxytocin until 5:30 and then give her some Cervadil which will work overnight. Also, remember how I said that the max level on the Oxytocin pump was 20? Yeah, Kay pushed it up to 60! Leigh is definitely feeling them more strongly now! Anyway, tomorrow will bring more Oxytocin and with a softened cervix and the baby lower, we may be able to get some dilation!
Dr. Taylor says that he'll break the water when Leigh gets to 1 cm dilation so that cushion of liquid will go away and we get a lot more pressure in the right direction. Breaking the water also means that the baby needs to be out within 24 hours, no matter what so the countdown will be on!!
